Took a bit of a gamble with this Bomei tape stuff. Only 7 reviews (and they were all one-tap). I was looking for a replacement to the amazing Luxburg tape, which also has the 'silent' and silky smooth unwinding feature which I love. Unfortunately, the Luxburg is currently out of stock, so in my search, I found this which promised silent unwinding, 60 micron thickness (just 5 microns thinner than the Luxburg) and strong adhesive. It delivers. From a sample test of peeling this off cardboard, this is actually sticking STRONGER than the luxburg, and it feels substantial whilst unwinding from the roll, so I can well believe the 60 micron claim. As they claim, it is indeed silent, and most importantly for me (and like the Luxburg), is easy to find (and start) the peeling, and DOESN'T SHRED (the amount of time I've wasted in the past with normal cheap tape, trying to unify shredded tape strands back to a single film....). Top of the tape is slippery, which makes it so easy to unwind. As the icing on the cake, this smells less toxic and far less strong than the Luxburg and has a tape gun instrument which seems to work okay from the brief test I gave it (tape works perfect without too). This is the first day I've used it. If I find something else out, I'll update this review accordingly, but for now I can thoroughly recommend this Bomei tape.

I will never use any other tape after finding this. My partner and I both work from home, and I run an online shop where I spend a lot of the day packaging items, so you can imagine how annoying it was for my partner to have to hear tape screeching for around 2-3 hours every day (tbf it annoyed me too). This tape is perfect. It’s silent, still strong and thick enough for shipping AND comes with a dispenser that works smoothly. It’s changed everything.
